On six Wednesday evenings (two of them with your partner), you can prepare physically and mentally for birth in a small group of like-minded people (8 participants, plus partners on 2 evenings). The course takes place in a relaxed atmosphere. Each evening includes input, sharing, and practical exercises.
Course topics will include (the last 3 sessions take place with your partner):
Helpful breathing and body exercises for relaxation and a good connection with your body before, during, and after birth
Pelvic floor / letting go
Mental preparation, meditation
Possible birth preparation measures
Pain relief options, and the role of position and movement
Changes in sexuality after birth
The course of a natural birth, including possible challenges/complications (inductions, assisted vaginal births, unplanned cesareans, etc.) and ways of dealing with them
Ways in which your partner can help
The postpartum period
There will be time for questions in every session.
You’ll receive the plan for each evening by email during the week before the course begins (please note that this may be adjusted slightly depending on the group dynamic and participants’ needs), along with further information (directions, what to bring, etc.).
If you like, you can enter TWO things you definitely want to learn in the course and ONE thing you’d prefer not to do in the field at the bottom right of the registration page ("Terminwunsch” etc.).
